Bulkheads

The Floating Pool Bulkhead was developed in 1994 and has been designed to offer Low cost, simple installation and minimum maintenance whilst offering as much custom detailing as required for individual installations. The bulkhead design and manufacturing process has recently been modified to enable greater quality control and to ensure 100% Customer Satisfaction of the product

Offered in three standard specification deck widths,
to suit pool requirements:

The Bulkhead is manufactured from the highest quality GRP materials incorporating 316 Stainless steel fixtures and fittings, keeping maintenance to a minimum. Colour options are available to match any existing pool schemes.

The Unit is fabricated in modular sections that are easily carried into the Pool Hall through standard fire doors, assembled on the poolside and launched within a 4 / 5 day installation period, without hindering the pools daily routine operations. Commissioning and staff training for the operation of the supplied equipment will be undertaken on completion.

A design feature of this Boom, that has several advantages, is the OPTION of having the unit sitting on the pool floor when at the 25 Metre location.

  • This has a very important safety aspect: SWIMMERS NOT GAINING ACCESS UNDER THE UNIT it having only a 70mm water circulation space between the pool floor and the B/H underside.

  • Also when sitting in this position all the Loadings on the unit i.e. Swimmers, Referees and its own structural weight are evenly spread across the pool floor instead of resting on the delicate pool surround.

All installations are specifically designed for each individual pool, to match the dimensional layout and water circulation system requirements.

Optional equipment includes: Stainless Steel Hand Railing, Starting Blocks, Access Ladder Steps, Water Polo Goal Posts / Mounting Sockets and Electronic Timing Systems / complete with inbuilt wiring ducting.

We work very closely with the UK suppliers of competition equipment/timing systems with serious consideration given reference to the level of competition required for the particular centre. There are many variations available depending on the full requirements of the client and we would be pleased to have a representative of the supplier discuss these with you directly. It is important we work very closely with these to ensure that all conduits and trunking ducts, etc. are incorporated into the Fibreglass mouldings during fabrication, to ensure the starting block and touch pad electronics connect to Displays.
